Getting back into darts?

Lately, I've been toying with the possibility of getting a few dart frogs to breed. I kinda like the idea of getting a sexed pair of Ranitomeya ventrimaculata, but I'm not really sure what species to get. They'd live in a 10-gallon tank and I'd like to know how to convert it into a vertical tank if necessary. Stan and Wendy passed away before they had a chance to breed, and I want to prevent that happening again. Any pointers, tips, questions, and comments are more than welcome!

My auratus are very shy, I rarely see them ?

I believe a 10 gallon vert is on the small side. You'll get by .... but by the time 5-6 inches of space is taken by the substrate, it does't leave much room.

Consider an exo terra 18x18x24, of which will need a little modification of the lid ( ie replacing the screen to glass)
