mixing species?

Is it OK to put a Vietnamse blue tree frog in the same terrarium with a white lipped tree frog? If so is a 18 X 18 X 24 big enough for the two of them?

This is not an acceptable practice. Most will say an adamant..... "NO".
Do a Frog Forum search ........... "mixing species".

I would not mix them, mainly due to the reasoning of you won't be able to enjoy their natural behaviors if they are under stress all the time.

The White Lipped are huge frogs, hence the nick name "giant" tree frog . I don't know if the 18x18x24 is going to be big enough for that frog alone and attempting to put two different species together is just asking for disaster. You may need to rethink your froggy plans.

These 2 frogs come from different regions and would never find themselves together in the wild. Rhacophorus dennysi natural environment is more temperate than the one Litoria infrafrenata comes from. This suggests it's temperature requirements are different and cooler compared to the White Lipped frog warmer warmer parameters.

thanks for the responses, I guess what I was looking for was if they had the same requirments as far as their environments. Also if they would stress each other out. The reason I was asking I want a second white lipped, but can not find one and I came across the vietnamese blue tree frog. Any way I guess I need a bigger Terrarium. From what I have read a 30 gallon tank would be big enough for two WLTF, and my volume works out to a little over 30 gallons. What size would you guys recomend for two WLTF?

If they are naturally found in the same area and the same region plus a big enclosure then it is fine but normally this is not the case & intention with most mixed species setups. It only stresses the frogs and causes them not to eat, show their true colors or show their natural behavior.
