I got a few plants and I want to know if they are safe for my frogs. I have a red eyed tree frog, and will have a emerald eyed, and ruby eyed. So I want to make sure that if I put these plants in their new homes if they will be safe.
Others here can speak more intelligently than I on what plants are good to use or not. Good rule of thumb (esp for RETF) is if it can survive in the very humid conditions the terrarium has to be at for the frogs to be healthy than it is probably safe.
I learned the hard way with a couple plants that allowing 3 weeks or more for the plants to grow in before adding the frogs should prob be mandatory.
Dracaenas are safe. Keep in mind though, your first and last plant will grow tall so having a tall enclosure is needed. They can be pruned or cut back drastically then the cut top part planted again as cuttings for a more bushy looking plant. The pruned stem grows new buds quickly so don't worry bout a hard prune.
