So I finally put the finishing touches on my terrarium for fern my frog. Well she has a shallow water bowl for soaking in but she keeps kicking dirt into it what do I do? Also can two gray tree frog females live together? I think I want to get her a friend if they won't hurt each other. Oh and is feeding pill bugs to my frog an ok thing? She seems to like them but are they good for her? Thanks!
Yes, you can put more than one gray in a tank providing the tank is large enough to accomodate them. Keep them separated for the first 3 or 4 wks making sure there are no health issues with the new ones. Make sure you get them treated for parasites as well. As for the pill bugs, they are safe for the frogs but wherever you are getting them from make certain they are free of pesticides (if you are catching them yourself).
Oh and as for the dirt in the water bowl, it is going to happen, it may not look pretty but they dont care. The water should be changed daily anyways.
Cover the "dirt" with leaf litter. You can get live oak leaves from Josh's frogs for this purpose.
