I have had my red eyes for just under a year now and both male and female are full adults. I was feeding my red eye a one day when all the sudden I heard my red eye croak(somethink I've never heard before) so than I played sounds through the speakers of red eyes and he called back every once in a while. I was too excited so I decided to breed them. I'm pretty sure I when through the dry season with them long enuf now I'm in the wet stimulation pat. I have just started to heavily feed and mist and usually once a day I will play the sounds of other males croaking and he calls back every once in a while again. I looked for his nuptial pad and I think I see one but to be honest I've never seen on legit before, only on the internet but I do have high thoughts about it being one. Anyways, every time my female hears the sounds of the males croaking in the dark she suddenly wakes up. I'm pretty sure that that's a sign that she wants to mate. Anyways I've never done this before and I would like some info on this, oh and by the way in a week or 2 I will be transferring them to a rain chamber I hope. But any tips or ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Ps. If I could have some soundtracks of red eyes calling that would be great and maybe a pic of nupital pads on a red eye.
pps. Don't give me the article of breeding on here I've already red it and quite frankly found it not much of a help.
thanks.
Hello Tree frog maniac,
I do not breed mine, but here's a photo of a red eye nuptial pad. See the brown area on his inner finger?
