I woke up this morning to find I couldn't see my whites tree frog in his viv. I cleared it out and searched it thoroughly. NOTHING. I have put down water cups all around the house it's been an hour and still NOTHING. I'm scared I'm gonna lose him/her how long can they survive outside their viv?! any tips on finding him?! I sleep with my door open so he could be anywhere in the house please help reply ququick thanks guys
How on earth did it get out of the Viv? Was it covered? Does it have a hood? If so have you checked inside the hood?
I'm not sure what to suggest other than keep looking, maybe check your windows in your bedroom or something?
I hope you find it though!![]()
Leaving out several bowls of frog safe water is a start. And are you sure it's not tucked away inside something that's in the viv? Also not sure how old it is, but if it's a male, play some of the youtube WTF calling videos and see if you can locate it that way, but it's only gonna work if it's a boy.

I don't know it got out but it did any tips ANY1??? how long can they survive outside of the viv?????
Place a glass bowl of crickets out for him/her. He/she will hear them and if hungry will come to eat. How big is your frog?

You've got good tips from Gail and Heather. Other than that, arm yourself with a bright flashlight and start looking under and/or behind every furniture in house, etc. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Another person lost their frog and their frog was found by their cricket bin. you might want to check cool/damp places another person found theirs in their parents bathroom. other than that I hope they seek out the crickets you put out or the water you leave out because sometimes they just hop around the house and explore.
If you only have one frog, leave his tank open in case he wants to get back in.

hope you can find your frog soon, the tips of water and crickets are great, as to how long he can survive I think that depends on the humidity and such in the house, if he is accessing the water then perhaps he will be ok for a while. Check all sorts of places dark and wet first and foremost, you may be surprised and wishing you all the best for finding him
after 3 days I had almost lost hope when I woke up and he/she was just sitting there in his waterbowl!! weirdest part is when I looked for him in his viv I took EVERYTHING out including his soil!! hmmm I think we have a little Houdini amongst us here!! anyways I am so happy he/she is back![]()
YEAH!!! I think all WTF's should be named Waldo.![]()
