I jut read about red leg and I. The article it stated that yawning is a bad sign in frogs. my red eyes have each had a stage where they just yawn one after the other for a period of 5-10 minets. They don't do it now but it would be good to know if they ever do it again.
what dose it mean is it bad even if they don't have red leg?
The also appear to be yawning when they first wake up and shed. It is really them pulling the dead skin into the corners of their mouths and eating it. Nothing to worry about from what you re describing.
Yawning a bad sign for frogs? First time I hear that one; strange article you read.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
That's a new one on me too. Was it an actual article? Or a post on a forum somewhere? Can you link us to it?

Yawning is generally the stretching process to loosen their skin before shedding. Shedding is good.

Here is a video of what you may be experiencing. If so, it is perfectly normal. I freaked out the first time I saw my frogs do this also. I think everyone hasMine will also wipe themselves with their feet to help break skin loose
Thank
