Good Frogs for a 20g Long Tank

I'm planning on getting some new frogs. I have a 20 gallon long tank, but I don't know what type of frog to get. I've had fire belly toads for a few months and am doing great, so anything from easy to moderate difficulty will work for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

If interested in bigger frogs and your tank is an aquarium; you could keep a pair of African Clawed frogs. If not; then two of any of the smaller ground Toads will do fine. Also, you could keep a pair of Tomato frogs in there too.

If more into smaller guys; you could set up tank for a small colony of Bumble Bee Toads or even Mantella frogs if you are up for the challenge. Have fun and good luck !

I'm with Carlos, there's a whole bunch of stuff. A pair of tomato frogs would be cool. Or a more terrestrial dart. Of course, I will always recommend mantellas, only because they are my favs. Lol

What about pacman frogs? I read that they can go in 20 gallons. But I'll look into your other suggestions as well.

A baby Pacman will just need a critter keeper like the ExoTerra medium Breeding Box. Only when it reaches 3-3.5 in. can you move it to a 10G.

A large female Ornate or the rare Aurita can eventually exceed that tank size and require a 15 (or 20H); but even then, rarely a 20L .

Right now, I'm choosing between a pacman frogs, mantella frogs, and bumble bee toads. I'm especially interested in mantella frogs. What species of mantella would you recommend for someone who's a beginner to them?

Any of them really. M. Betsileo are very easy to keep, as are M. Baroni and M. Madagascarienesis. They are the only 3 I have experience with. Josh (mantella guy) keeps a larger variety, so he would be able to offer even more insight.

Keep in mind that like darts, you need to culture fruit flies for mantellas.

I can do fruit flies. Are they hard to culture? If they are, I'll probably go for the pac man. Also, do mantella frogs need pinhead crickets? I order 1/4" crickets for my fire bellies, so having three different insect enclosures could get annoying.

Fruit flies are easy. They will also eat pinheads.

If comparing to a Pacman; yes. Majority of Pacman frogs will stay put in their hole and patiently wait for food to come to it. Setting up a tank for a Pacman is way easier compared to a Mantella tank. If you want to create a vivarium with life plants, it can be very rewarding. If you wanna make a really cool looking viv and take the time and money to make it then mantellas are the way to go.But on the other hand if you want a huge beast thats alot of fun to watch eat then i would go with the pacman.It all kinda depends on what type of person you are.I personally dont think ill ever get into dart frogs because of culturing fruit flys 24/7.Rather just go to wallmart pick up a little cup of worms and be set for 2 weeks.Pacman frogs can be very cool pets but not the most active.
