    Default Sick??

I have a American Green Tree Frog. Rescued him off a river barge last summer. He was on the barge in the hot sun with no water or shade. Anyways he survived and was doing good.

Lately I have noticed he isn't eating and his skin has turned dark green. Local pet store says he is hibernating and to feed him twice a week for right now. I have been feeding meal worms due to cricket availability in my area right now. He seemed to like them at first. She sold me wax worms saying they digest easier due to soft skin.

Also switched to a normal cfl bulb because my dual bulb fixture keeps blowing the blue daytime bulbs

My American Green tree frog eats less in the winter-it might be cold in your cage-or you could feed butter worms, my frog loves those

I've got a pair of AGTF and my male goes from bright green to almost black some times. I also feed red runner roaches, crickets, wax & butter worms along with moths when I can catch some, and offer food bowl styles every other night. My female will eat from tongs anytime I offer her food, she's a greedy little thing. They like their temps 71 - 85 with humidity 60-80% Their care is very close to the greys Frog Forum - Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding

Ok he (or she) ate 1 wax worm and there is dirt in water bowl. He was back being a lighter green. But I have noticed tan spots on his skin. Any clues as to what it could be. Also I am out of pet safe glass cleaner and I am planning on a substrate change tomorrow. I usually just use hot water to rinse everything but the glass is getting a little dirty. He pretty much stays in one area unless he comes down to eat.As for the small tan spots I can't use my phone to upload a pic

I use distilled water to clean the glass every day, it makes it squeaky clean. And do the spots look kinda like this? If so, it's normal, they have "freckles" just like the WTF's do.
