Stephen, when writing taxonomic names you abbreviate the genus, not the species. So what you should've wrote is -

3 x False Tomato Frog (Dyscophis guineti)
20? x Golden Sedge Frog (Hyperolius puncticulatus)
4 x Marbled Burrowing Toad (Scaphiophryne marmorata)
4 x West African Fire Frog (Phrynomantis bifasciatus)*
3 x Red Spotted Toad (Anaxyrus (Bufo) punctatus)
1 x Chacoan Horned Frog (Ceratophrys cranwelli)
3 x Dyeing Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius)
6 x Asian Painted Bullfrog (Kaloula pulchra)
5 x Spiny Reed Frog (Afrixalus fornasini )

Also you should only abbreviate the genus if you have already used it once within a paragraph/list and on the same page. Example below.

*Are sure you have Phrynomantis bifasciatus and not P. microps? P. bifasciatus is from East Africa and P. microps is from Western Africa. There are examples of both species in my albums. Also there is a "Meet the Frog" article on P. bifasciatus, with a link to the article on the left.
    Thanks Kurt!
When I googled it it said Cinera so I'm glad you pointed that out!

Gosh, all those long lists and here I am with my one Albino African Clawed Frog. But I love having him anyway. Even if he does sometimes sing in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep.

Takeo stopped making any noise for at least six months with his previous owner so I try really hard to consider it a 'good thing', not an 'annoying thing'. Though it's kind of difficult to make that distinction when you've got to get up at 5 am and it's already 2.

2 - Whites Dumpy Tree Frogs. (Litoria caerulea).
1 - Red Eyed Tree Frog. (Agalychnis callidryas).
1 - White Lipped Tree Frog. (Litoria infrafrenata).

I also have a baby bearded dragon. (Pogona vitticeps).

    Hi Kurt

    Thanks for the advice.

The definitely bifasciatus - that was just the first 'common name I ever saw them under! since then I've seen, walking frog, fire walking frog and various others usually with the word fire in them somewhere!

I've got three big eyed tree frogs, two leopard geckos, five axolotls, two parakeets, freshwater fish, and a breeder tank of red cherry shrimp. I've got a little bit from every class of animals, (except for mammals, of course).
