That's a male, females don't have horns that big. Also the adults do eat, they eat beetle jelly but use bananas if you don't have any of that. Very cool, I'm jealous.

Is it? I had males before with bigger, forked horns than that and looked more like pincers when they move or make clicking noises.

I'm 99.99% sure it's a male. The one you just pictured is a different species.

There are only 3 species of rhino beetles right? I doubt we have either the european or the japanese one

Actually there's around 300 species of rhino beetle.

I think yours is a Oryctes rhinoceros.

The one you keep seeing over and over is probably xylotrupes gideon. But there is many species and variation as they come from Africa China Japan etc. in Britain we even have a 'lesser' species my personal favourite is the Hercules beetle.
