One of my Green Tree Frogs died (I had 2) and since then my other one has been eating less and not moving around as much. I'm going to get another frog to keep him company, and I thought it might be a good idea to keep them separated for a while. How long do you think I should do that?
The typical standard is 30 days. Just do a small setup with a little plant and damp paper towels as substrate. We have 2 RETF babies in quarantine right now and they seem as happy as can be climbing all over their little Pothos plant and pouncing on hapless crickets.
Hello Rupert! You recently lost a frog and the survivor is acting lethargic; seems to me a veterinary check or at least a fecal exam is warranted. Please answer the below questions to see if we can identify any issues.
Yes, once you ensure your present frog is OK; then you can get a companion that would undergo a quarantine before mixing the frogs. Normally it's a 30 day period done in a hospital like enclosure with 2 clear fecal's 2 weeks apart. Good luck!
