Default What kind of amphibians would live happily in this setup?

Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions. I have this enclosure called a Zilla Flx (the small one, 12L x 12W x 15H inches). It's got a screen swing open front door, a screen top, and glass all around the rest of it, with a ~4" glass lip at the bottom for water or substrate.

I'm really wanting to fill the bottom with at least a bit of water, preferably 3-4 inches if I could. This tank is arboreal so would be best suited for tree frogs and etc I'd assume... But I'm having trouble finding which frogs or other amphibs would do well with a water-filled bottom, with only a square foot for footprint but a fair amount of height.

Or if anyone can suggest some amphibs that would do well WITHOUT the water-filled bottom, go ahead and suggest them too! I'm willing to adjust my preferences for the sake of the future inhabitants

    Thanks!

Think that enclosure has too much ventilation as is for an amphibian. You could replace some of the screening with glass panes glued to the plastic framework to help prevent humidity and heat loss. That brings you to issue of what frog to keep in a small set-up. Once you add substrate and decor the height is going to be diminished by a few inches which will leave you with around a foot square; not much for even Darts. Myself do not keep other amphibians so can't recommend any for it.

If you got other frog enclosures, that Zilla cage would make a good hospital/quarantine enclosure. Mine are an ExoTerra 12x12x12 cube and a similar Tall Nano that are kept sterilized and ready to go just in case. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Not an amphibian, but that might work well for a Pygmy chameleon?
