hi all ! Finally i feel content as i obtained a pair of TSDT. According to many sources they are semi-aquatic critters and although I know what the habitat is, yet i am not certain of what the best solution should really be , either that of an arid scenario with cacti and a lot of sand and a huge water bowl or rather that of deciudous forest ?
Unless you know the exact habitat your toads came from; there is no best solution. Sonoran Desert Toads occur in a variety of habitats including: creosote bush desert scrub; grasslands; oak-pine woodlands; and tropical deciduous forests. Any decor that simulates something similar to those with a daily changed dechlorinated tap water soaking dish should be fine.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
