I see plenty of plant options for sale online for tropical and dart frogs, but what are the best plants, flowers, mosses for native U.S. species? Does it matter? Will they do just as well with tropical plants? I'm asking as I just built a vivarium for some California tree frogs and want to keep it as natural as I can for them. Any help is greatly appreciated!
They really can't tell the difference between species of plants. If you want to make it a true biotope, you can find a wild habitat of the frogs and field collect plants. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with the species in the habitat and the laws regarding them, because removing endangered ones is a huge no no!!
