Pet Store Luck ?

It's freezing.. But simple question, I was wondering has anyone had any great luck at pet stores such as petco or petsmart. I stop regularly while on the road at pet stores I pass up just to see their frogs. And it's usually the regular brown cranwell or the occasional albino. Well at a stop at a very small petco, to my surprise there was an ornate. But this little guy was very high red and just $25.. Imagine my disappointment when the sales assistant told me she was on hold for someone .. Beautiful frog.. I've put in a preorder myself for an ornate and I'm hoping the dice roll in my favor so.. Thank God for petco preorder right ? Anyway was just wondering about any other lucky encounters

Every once in awhile our mall pet store gets in fantasy frogs.

Think read a couple years ago a member from CA had found an Ornate at Petsmart; but never seen one in the VA local stores. Good luck with your pre-order and let us know what you get .

I ordered some Red eyed Tree frogs from petco originally. They called me and told me they were in, I went to the store 2 hours later to pick them up and take them home and they were gone. One employee said that 1 died on arrival and the other was not in the cage and must have escaped. I just order frogs from breeders now and have them ship to my house.

Sounds like someone else bought your frogs Paul and the employee made up a story rather than state the truth . Myself prefer to deal with known breeders too .

Yeah that was my guess to. I will be buying the rest of my frogs from known breeders online. So far I have bought frogs from Josh and LLL Reptile. I keep hearing Mike's name thrown around, but without a website it is hard to know what he has and get to know him myself some.
