What is the longest running habitat you had/have setup for your critters and what did/do you have in it that may have benefited the duration of the setup?
I've run aquariums for years with a weekly 10-25% water change and filter pads clean-up in old aquarium water in a pail. Will start my first planted vivarium soon so we will see how that goes.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I just started on planted Terrariums. So my longest is about 3 weeks lol. Hope they stay up and running on their own for a while with minor maintenance on my part.
How long have you had one running?
Years. 'Nuff said lol

I have had the mantella habitat going for over 2 years but it expanded from a small terrarium, to a midsize terrarium and then eventually the large tank that it is in right now. If I have the funds I may be expanding this eventually into a large long Japanese made terrarium our local petstore recently got in stock. $300 bucks .... ugh. I am considering making one as well.
I'm in the process of taking down a 29 gallon vert that I started cycling in early 2010 for a pair of thumbnails. It didn't get frogs into it until 2011 and had a substrate refresh in early 2013. The GS background fully seperated from the glass but was fully sealed to the glass by silicone. The GS also started to break down quite a bit but the wood was still held solid in place. It could have gone longer but I had a few 40verts well cycled and the frogs got a new home that was much nicer.
