Using mineral suppliment in water?

I read online that when using distilled water for the frogs to drink, its important to add a mineral supplement since the distilled water is "too clean".

Is this true? If so, can someone please recommend a specific product? I looked all over the pet stores and no one seems to know what I'm talking about. I swear people at the stores don't know anything about the animals they sell :-\.

I use distilled water to mist my frogs and salamanders because it contains no dissolved salts. However, I wouldn't leave a frog in pure distilled water (such as in a water bowl). However, distilled water grabs minerals from everything it touches so if you have any concerns, through a bit of substrate into it. I'm with John here. I use distilled in my misting systems so my tank fronts stay clear "or almost anyway". I keep well water in the water features so the frogs have access to good water.

I go with the easy route. I buy water conditioner that removes heavy metals and binds chloramine and neutralizes ammonia/um compounds.

You know, I actually thought about using water conditioner on my tap water but I just didn't trust it.

If I decide to go that route, what is a good water conditioner to use? Is it the same as the water conditioner for aquariums?
