Do they have to poo in there water dish or can they do it anywhere they want as mine doesn't really seem to go into its bowl as it mainly either buried or sitting there and its been eating well lately today is an off day so no feeding, I have not yet seen it poo yet since I had it a week tomorrow, also do they drink water or get it out of its food?
Pacman frogs absorb water through their belly skin. Some poo in water while others do it on substrate. Sometimes they bury it in their previous depression before moving to a new one. Also, many go a week or two before defecating a huge one. More info on them in here: Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
thanks matehave seen him move from the depression and made a new one a couple times but haven't seen any poo in it yet, so would they absorb the water in the damp substrate throught there belly skin ?
Yes, the shredded coco should be slightly damp so that it clumps in fist without dripping water out. That is the reason it should always be mixed with dechlorinated tap. You should spot clean enclosure and dig around old holes for clumpy large poop; they sometimes bury it. A plastic fork or similar is very good tool for that.

ahh mine does drip a few droplets of water out when I squeeze it what can happen?
Your good to go, as long as it is not a bog.
and making it to humid above 80% will cause problems like mold and other issues.
what exactly should the humidity be iv been keeping it at 80% but some times goes to 84%-88% for some time, I thought anything above 90% made mold and what other problems can it cause?
75-80% is a good target but if it goes over for a little while don't sweat it.
okay thanks mate will try my best![]()
