    Default Chytrid fungus

    Hi there,
I have a plague of chytrid fungus infecting my colony of mossy frogs. Two of them have died and now two more are infected. I have tried everything from lamasil baths to melafix, and the frogs were quarantined. I am not sure where to go from here, as nothing seems to stop the progression of the disease(the frogs skin literally turns white and basically melts off). I would appreciate any and all advice concerning this problem-especially love to hear from anyone who has dealt with it firsthand.
    Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to FF Netty! I'm sorry about your frog losses , love Mossy's myself. Here is a link to a good information source on Chytrid that includes labs to conduct tests: Chytrid Fungus-Plague casuing global amphibian mass extinction . If Chytrid; it is very contagious to any frog at your home. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
