Hello everyone.. first time poster here. up until this point have only had crested geckos but always been interested in frogs. i havea spare 12x12x18 exo terra and was thinking of possibly getting a pet frog to keep in it. i've done some research and the 3 that have caught my eye the most are the american green tree frog, the red eyed tree frog, and the white's tree frog. from what i gather the white's tree frog would need a bigger tank than what i have..but could either of the other two live out its life comfortably in my tank? if not, are there any other frog options to recommend? (not currently considering dart frogs, though) . i have some more questions but they would depend on this answer first. thanks!
none could live as adults in it but you could raise juviniles in it like im asumeing you did with your cresties. thats what i did when my crestie when he out grew his 12x12x18.
You could easily raise one or two green tree frogs in it. They are a smaller species and would do ok in there. It would be a bit cramped for two, but one definitely.

alright thanks. i may consider a green tree frog or pygmy chameleon but i think i'm leaning towards a red eyed tree frog after further research.. and will definitely pick up a bigger enclosure for him/her and possibly get a pair. was hoping i could fit something comfortably in the 12x12x18 and not have to buy another tank but i don't want to force anything or buy an animal for the tank rather than a tank for the animal. perhaps i'll just sell the 12x12x18 as i see they don't lose too much value and don't want it to go to waste .. i've got some sterilite bins i can use for juvies .. but i thought the 12x12x18 looked quite nice as a display tank .. too bad it's too small for most adult creatures. oh well!
