Good for you Miguel! Now that it's eating might want to start giving food supplements. More info on that in here: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html. Also, can offer him night crawlers (not dyed) from Walmart's sport section or a local bait shop. For a small frog can cut worm from pointy end about mouth size for babies, same as frogs length for juveniles, and whole worms for 3 in. and above. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

sounds to me your frog is just stressed.sometimes a new to your tank/tub frog needs to adjust to it.dont worry .the frog will settle and come out of the moist substraight and eat.my albino has hidden for days then will pop out and say .. got some crickets ?

I have heard that if you have a planted terrarium that you can remove your frog into a smaller plastic cage to feed? I put my frog in a smaller cage this evening so I could clean it and I dropped a few crickets in it and he ate them. Is this ok or should I just put crickets in the tank and have him wait until the walk by to eat?

I was also thinking this was good because then I know he is eating?

A separate feeding enclosure is fine. Some frogs are ok with it and some aren't. When I was tong training one of mine I used a separate enclosure to help keep him from eating substrate because his aim was so bad.

What did you use for the bottom of the feeder cage?

Well I tried something today and was shocked and happy all in one. So I was going to feed my frog and I keep thinking god it would be so nice if he would just eat in his own home so I don’t have to keep moving him to his feeding cage. So today I got a cricket and instead of just putting the cricket in I tossed it right in front of him and BOOM he ate it. I was like no way. So I did not again and bam he ate it. So this time for the third cricket I just put it in and right when we walked by Mr. Frog bam ate him too. So I guess he is a happy frog since he is eating and pooping. Just took over a month to see him happier. Looks like he is growing too.

glad to know ur frog is eating..since eco earth (substraght) can be pooooed out i always feed in tub..seems my frogs like it better that way..plus its funny when they miss..plus i tweaser feed fish & worms to them..although my albino seems to think hes a large mouth bass and hits the food hard..my high reds take it very gently and calm..feed daily up to 6 months them 2 times a week at 18 months maybe once a month. if they get 2 fat.cut back some. dont forget calcium and vitiman dusting on cricket since there just a food source.. calcium twice a week then go to vitimans twice a week, ive heard the frog doesnt digiest them both proper when used at same time..good luck with ur frog..and enjoy

THanks guys. I've been doing a lot of reading on my new friend and so far it's all going great. The first few weeks I guess I was just worried to make sure he was ok. But I just waited and now he is eating daily since he is still little.
