Hi
I have a terrarium(25gallons) with a cascade and an exoterra background
Pictures
My questions are:
What species can i keep in this terrarium
What need i to change to keep that specie in this terrarium
I already have :
Dendrobates truncates
Bombina orientalis
Agalychnis Callidryas
Sorry for my english
Am I safe in assuming these are not all housed together?
You're terrarium is very nice and just screams dart frogs or mantellas to me. Personally, I like Dendrobatres tinctorius (azureus, Oyapock, & citronella), Ameerega trivitata, Oophaga pumilio (blue jeans & Cayo Nancy), Phyllobates vittatus, Mantella laevigata, Mantella expectata, and Mantella aurantiaca.
If there is good ventilation, you can consider Dendropsophus leucophyllatus, Dendropsophus ebraccatus, or Phyllomedusa hypochondrialis.
Just remember to pick only one species per enclosure.
Any of the Agalychnis come to mind; A. moreletii, A. annae, A. spurrelli. Also I agree with Kurt on the suggestion of Darts or Mantellas. Beautiful setup.
Dart frogs come to mind when I see this beautiful enclosure.
Thanks
yes the dendrobate , bombina and agalichnys are in different tanks
which dendrobate for this terrarium(i was thinking in tinctorius)(i only have experience with truncatus(thei are like auratus))
I would immediately seperate these frogs. Bombina are quite toxic and are a temperate zone frog, Agalychnis can be delicate and need good ventilation, and Dendrobates love heavily planted, tropical tanks with high humidity, which can be created by blocking off ventilation. Also dart frogs require smaller prey items than the other two frogs.
That being said the truncatus should get the new tank and I would get a third set up for whomever moves out of the old one. I would not consider any new frogs until these frogs all have their own seperate enclosures and you have established a fourth one.
i am saying that The frogs all have their own seperate enclosures
sorry for my english![]()
OK so you already have three seperate enclosures for the three species you already have? Then tincs would be fine in the new one. Now you have to decided which tinctorius morph you want.
yes i have four seperate enclosures
i was thinking on azureos
Azureus is one of my favorites and it's now considered a form of tinctorius. Matter of fact I plan on getting some more tomorrow at Black Jungle.
A pair of azureus for this terrarium?
Maybe, how big is the enclosure?
its a 25 gallons(60x40x40cm )
