Talking Help with my whites tree frog!!

    Hey guys!

I have had my whites tree frog for about a month now he is happy, plump and jumping around
I think its that time where you have to replace their plantation soil. Is one month too long? should I change it more often? or like every 2 months??? anyways the real issue I have here is how i do it! I don't wanna clean it with him in there (because i will be taking out all the plants and giving it a good ol' scrub.) But i tried putting him in a smaller container to attempt to clean his viv and he was so stressed, jumping everywhere and he turned browny/purple so i immediately took him out and he jumped around all crazy, he does not like small spaces at all. So what do I do here? i can't leave him in there, i can't put him in a box? how do i change his soil? do you guys have any methods?? Also just a quick question, I see loaaddsss of videos on the internet of tree frogs eating in the day, but mine ONLY eats in the night, like midnight. I caught him eating once but he froze and when i looked away he continued eating? is that normal for whites to be so shy about eating, i heard they would eat anything that moves XD.

    Thanks lads!

    Once a month is preferred.
But if you happen to notice A bad odor then you might need to change out sooner than a month.

What I did with mine was to put them in separate containers as I had three frogs.About the same size of the container they came in.
With a secured lid that had holes.
Covered containers with a dark towel to keep them calm.
Give it a go and let's see how things turnout.

Cheers from the other side of the big pond.

I've done the same with mine when having to remove them. I think it's the complete darkness that calms them down. And as for eating in front of you......mine have actually tried to eat my finger, so there is no shyness with mine. But then I started tong feeding them from day one.
