Default Whites tree frog - Unusual behaviour?

    Hi everyone!

For the last 4 weeks my male whites tree frog about (8/9 months old) has been acting very unusual...

He went through a 1hour and a half move so i feel this is a result from a stressful couple of hours but this was at least 4 weeks ago now and i thought he may have settled back down.

He keeps jumping at the glass and rubbing his nose at the glass once he wakes up at night, he hasn't injured himself like some of the nose rub pictures I've seen he barely even has a scratch. He seems to have lost weight and isn't eating as much as he used to and I've got a bowl in there tonight to see if he's eating anything at all. In the morning when i wake up he's usually against the glass on the floor or would have got himself stuck somewhere. Today he wasn't asleep in his usual place but instead asleep on a leaf in the open. I haven't been finding much poop and i think it was about a week ago i found it last... He still calls out during the night as usual except its for longer periods of time. He's located next to a female which I'm hoping will be big enough to move in with him in a few weeks as she's about half an inch smaller at the moment but eats ALOT so hoping she will catch up soon. I don't want to put her in with him if these are signs of sickness though? But a petshop worker said it could be that he wants to get out to be with her?

Has anyone had any experience with this or know how i can help my little guy feel happy in his home once more, Its heart breaking to see him so irritated and restless now days...

I haven't gone through this, but sound like he's stressed. I would cover all side of the tank and just go in there to change water and bowl feed his feeders for a few days and see if he calms down. Did you do a complete change up in the viv or change locations?

Yeah thats what i thought :\. Both he changed location and then his whole tank was changed up... Ive had the tank fully covered for the last few weeks now. Should I carry on uncovering it in the day? What should i do if he doesnt eat...

    Thanks for the quick reply

Can you post a photo of the tank? Maybe he needs more places to hide in. I rearrange my WTF tank and they LOVE all the places to hide and places to tuck themselves into. Name: WTF tank 1-3-14.jpg

But posting photos of your tank and also if you can post pics of the frog without to much stress it can be an indicator as to how thin he is & maybe how to arrange the tank. I'm not expert at this but I'll try to help if I can.

I think the viv looks great! If they still haven't eaten anything yet, have you offered maybe butter or wax worms? Mine can't refuse these. They do look a little on the thin side, but then mine are little gree balls of fun so it's hard to compare. I would keep the tank covered for now since it's not going to hurt them, and just bowl feed for now. Also I would be a bit concerned about ingestion of the moss.

Thanks ! Two crickets disappeared from his bowl last night so I'm hoping he ate them. Yeah he's never been interested in the wax worms but ill give him another go tonight. Yeah i agree, he has lost a little weight but i figured this could possibly be due to the massive increase of activity he does now? Okay i will do. Yeah the moss is a temporary thing for humidity while his waterfall was getting a new pump, Ive just changed back to his normal eco earth substrate now its back on

Also i was wondering on whether you have an opinion on Komodos Revitalive which helps de-stress them it says it can be used on amphibians... I was considering using some on him as I've got a box lying around but have never used it on an amphibian before.

Good to hear about the crickets, and not sure what Komodos Revitalive is, but if it says it's amphibian save why not. I just wouldn't start mixing a bunch of different things together though.
