Default Baby Pacman runs from food? New frog owner help

Hi everyone! On Sunday I purchased a new pacman frog (thins it's a Cranwells if it matters), and he hasn't eaten for the past day or so. He spends most of his time buried, and ice or twice yesterday I dangled a cricket in his face, only for him to run away. I've only had him for a few days, but I want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong before it's too late. Any help would be appreciated!

He is stressed as he in new home ,this is normal. They can burrow for a few days. try not to disturb him and pop in food at night and leave him too it. try worms ? or locusts and remove back jumping legs , give that a go.

Default Baby Pacman runs from food? New frog owner help

My pacman was larger when I first got him, but he wouldn't eat for a while either. I finally just stopped messing with him and after a few days he popped back up and the fatty hasn't stopped eating since!

Size: 85.0 KBI'm having the same issue. Bought my frog over a week ago and only until today I saw him jump at a cricket (missed) but at least he tried. I heard taking the back legs off and also smashing the crickets head so it just kicks his legs works. I have tried all of it and nothing. Only today did I see him try when a cricket went by. I have a 18x18x12 cage and I hope it's not to big for him. The store I got him from had him in a very small cage with only a log covering him and water dish. No room for him all. all he could do is jump in water and back under the log. They also had five crickets just walking around in it.

The best way to feed is with tongs, pacmans can be clumsy hunters especially the younger ones. I have frogs that never miss and also a juvenile that never hits. So I reach them the food with tongs and this way they always get fed.
By the way, I read that you hand feed crickets, do you actually mean with your hand? Because that would be scary for a pacman, a giant hand infront of it's little head.

I have tried the feeding with tongs and he never goes for it. I even put it right in front of him and nothing. I will try again today with tongs. Last night he got out of his burrow and was moving around. I'm trying to count the crickets I had put in the cage but can't since they always hide.

You have to remove the crickets every morning, or they might damage your frog. What I do with crickets is this : I remove the jumping legs, hold them by a little tummy skin and gently rub them against the frogs lower lip. It might take a while the first few times, but once your frog is adjusted to it, it works like a charm.
Edit : make sure to hold the crickets with the feet towards you, frogs get annoyed from those little feet.
