I see a lot on this forum about types of food but not a lot about how much or how often they should be feed. Maybe I'm in wrong section? I am growing fruit Flies hydaie and currently have three two month old dendrobates tincoriuses (cobalt). I put about 100 flies in an hour ago and they have pretty much all disappeared. I was working on college apps so I didn't get to watch them eat also I don't have springtails or anything else YET
Feeding them daily is fine. You're doing a good job. 50 or so Melanogaster fruit flies a piece is perfect, daily. About 25 Hydei are recommended bc they are larger. If you can get some springtails, they love them . They are good eaters . If they are eating fine and pooping regularly, are not too thin, have good energy and healthy skin and eyes, they're fine .
Remember to lightly dust their food with an MVI weekly or Repashy plus calcium twice weekly and 2x/week with a calcium/vitamin D3 supplement for good health too and to prevent MBD.
Any pics of your new frogs?
Welcome to the forum btw .

Thank you Heather! I haven't had internet for a while so I haven't been able to respond. I tried adding a few photos but they wouldn't download on the site. I'm going to try again tomorrow when my computer is fixed (I'm on my kindle)
You're welcome .
