Hi i'm new to the forum (and amphibian world for that matter; i have mostly reptiles :P) and i have a few questions. I am getting a baby fantasy pacman fairly soon and have a few unanswered questions.
1. Keeping him on eco earth is acceptable, right? Because i have a few geckos, and keeping them on any kind of loose substrate is basically a sin, lol.
2. Can i feed only crickets and a pinky mice? (the mouse wouldn't be very often.) I've heard of feeding earthworms and night crawlers and beetles, but truthfully i don't know any local bait shops around to get those at.
3. Can i keep a heat mat on a plastic tub? i'd be keeping him in a plastic bin/tub thing to keep humidity in, and was wondering if i can keep a heat mat on it or if a heat mat is even necessary if it's warm enough in the room.
4. How often do i clean it? I know to spot clean often, but when do i need to replace the substrate?
5. How fast do pacmans grow and reach full size? I've seen one that was about full size in under a year.
that's about all, thank you!
im still learning but for question 1, yeah eco earth is great it also holds in the moister , question 2 yeah crickets are great aslong as you gut load them the day before and also go along with dusting them with calcium D3 and multi vitamins on certain day here's a router I saw on a thread on here il be following the juvenile as that's what will be delivered to mine this week
thanks for the info!
