Hi all may recent tadpole now froglet has a deformed/detached back leg (see photo), what would be the best and most humane way to care for him, keep him in a smaller tank or put him down?
Any help is most appreciated.
Cheers Aaron
Hello and welcome to FF Aaron . I'm very sorry for unlucky tadpole . Sadly; it is you (with parents help if a minor) that has to make that choice.
From the looks; that frog will have a challenging life and would not survive in the wild. Keeping it means caring for a special needs frog. If you decide on euthanasia, Orajel Maximum Strength placed on tadpole's belly with a Q-tip will work painlessly. Sorry again and good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
