We purchased 2 more RETF from a breeder and they will be arriving on Friday. We have 2 quarantine tanks all setup and ready for them. We did some Pothos clippings in a pot about 2 weeks ago to give it time to take root.
We have been back and forth over what to feed them. Right now We are leaning towards flightless fruit flies until they are a tad bigger than switching to a mix of fruit flies and pinhead crickets. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciate. I will post pics once we have the little guys/gals at the house and setup.
It will depend on their size. Fruit flies are a good start, then pinhead crickets.
The general rule of thumb is that their food should be no larger than the distance between their eyes.
Offer food daily. Lightly dust their food with calcium/vitamin D3 powder every other day and one day a week with a multivitamin supplement. I have tried different ones in the past and have found that Repashy plus calcium multivitamin is best tolerated by them and I like Repcal calcium/vita D3.
Be sure to dechlorinate any water used for the water bowl and for moistening paper towels. You can used distilled water for misting the tank (only).

Here are the two quarantine tubs for the baby RETF. They will be here tomorrow morning!
Got the Heat source on testing the ambient temp of the tubs tonight. Took some clippings of some Pothos and planted them in Sphagnum moss. Just need to put in the damp paper towels tomorrow when they get here.
We are so excited!!
