I just bought my Pacman Frog a few hours ago and when i took it out of the container to wash it off i noticed a sizeable/soft lump on its lower back. does anyone have any ideas what this might be? I called the store and they said it may be a "blister", and i could return it if i wanted to. any input?

Hello and welcome to FF! Unless you are willing to spend $$$ on a veterinary; recommend return frog to store. That animal should not be offered for sale
.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Poor little guy. That is a skin infection. They should not have sold him like that.
Thanks guys. I assumed it couldn't be anything good. Probably caused from lack of care/being kept in a 5x3 carrying case since they got him. I am returning it tomorrow and have arranged to pick up another from another provider. Hopefully all is well with the new one.

I bet they don't (take it for treatment) in my experience it's not worthwhile spending hundreds on a relatively low value animal :-(

could be a cyst? (fatty lump, tumor) poor little thing, prob doesn't even know what may happen to him if u take him back, maby there's some sort of antibiotic to treat him?
Yup I would also be making an appointment with my exotic (vet) specialist I was just saying it's my experience with pet shops that they don't - sadly they just don't see it as cost effective
