Hey so what is everyone's' opinion on this supplement? They have Rep-Cal vitamin/mineral power and also a separate one with Calcium and Vit. D3. Believe it or not I never have used powder supplements for any of my amphibians, but I figure I'd give some a try. I figured it wouldn't hurt, but only give my frogs a nutritional boost. Usually I just make sure to give different types of insects.
I use them both for my darts. You cannot mix them together so i alternate Herptivite and Rep-Cal, one at one feeding and the other at the next. I only use them once each per week for my TreeFrogs because I gut load my crickets with them as well. It is relatively inexpensive insurance.
I use it and Herptevite in my gut load mixes. I also add a few milligrams of each to my powdered algae/ soy protein mix I use for feeding daphnia. (Those daphnia need the extra calcium to form shells and the rest of the stuff supports bacterial growth they feed on.)
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
I like this supplement, and use it for all off my frogs.
Well it sounds like I'm going to give it a go. Thanks everybody!
I use it for all my frogs as well. Inexpensive, and effective way to boost your animals mineral intake.
I mix my supplements when feeding. They are not stored together, but they are used together.
Huh. I poured a table spoon of each into a bag and mixed it, then just sealed up the bag after use and reused it again next time.
Only issue I have noticed from doing so is the mixture tends to clump a lot.
I use repashy calcium plus. I used to use repto cal and I never liked it as much. Repashy's smells sorta fruity and isn't as like pure dusty haha. Plus it's one supplement with everything in it.
Repashy Calcium Plus ICB
Only 10 bucks for like 1/4 of a pound. I like it the most so far. And I've tried various kinds![]()
