Hope this is not a silly question. Still a newbie. I have seen several post stating not to directly mist your frog. Why?

The only time I've seen that said has been in reference to distilled water. Distilled water will actually leach nutrients out of your frog and make it sick.
That being said directly spraying your frog will likely stress it out.

The water sprays can cause unnecessary stress. Plus if you mist with distilled water for some reason if you spray the frog directly over a period of time it will suck the nutrients out of the frog.
I only spray with dechlorinated water, but never thought about stressing the frog. Thanks!

Never spray the frog directly period. It stresses them out and can harm the frog if the spray bottle has a lot of pressure behind it. They don't like to be sprayed like that. There is really no reason to spray the frog itself.
Thanks for the advice....promise, I will not spray my frog.![]()

I keep reading that distilled water is good for misting as it doesn't leave the tank spotty, but not so great for the frog because of the lack of minerals. Do you know which water is best to use? I read something on here earlier that was really informative about each different type of water, but can't figure out which is best for my buddy over here.
It is ok to use distilled water in an automatic mister. However, I am hand spraying, so I use dechlorinated water. But, you should always use dechlorinated water for hydrating the eco earth, and for the water bowl.

Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
is a exo terra fogger bad to use when sitting in the water bowl filled with bottled water?
I use spring water. is that bad? I spritz my pacman VERY gently just to get the dirt off its head and make sure it's responsive
