Now, today I picked up 2 drawersystems, 24x35Lx14H, I bought them to keep tarantulas in, but it got me thinking...
Would I be able to keep my 5 males in these? I'm only wondering because they would be alot easyer to keep clean, heat and manage, or should I be looking at bigger drawers?
Also, I can fit decent sized waterdishes in them and they still have some nice room to burrow and move.
Im pretty sure that would 've okay. Seems to have about the same floor space maybe a little less that a ten gallon. If its small you might just need to clean the enclosures every two or three weeks instead of once a month.
Thanks for your reply Dan, I've actually gone back to the store today and picked up 2 x 3 drawer systems, wich are 20Hx34Wx38L so that should be good for all my frogs, even my female!
Yeah a drawer system is pretty sweet. Wish I could have enough frogs one day to have one myself. Only downfall ide say is that it limits the viewing of the frogs.
I don't think it limits my viewing, during feeding I sometimes have to pull a drawer out though, since some of my froggies burrow at the very back of the enclosure. It also has 1cm gaps on the top of the side, so really great ventilation!
The only downside of my enclosure was that I couldn't fit in my female's exo-terra waterdish, but I've scrubbed out an old candy box and now she has an even wider pool then before, with the same depth. 40% of her enclosure is now aquatic, and she still has enough room to live pleasantly. They are heated by a heatcable on each drawer system's side and a few heatmats on the other sides sides, giving me temperatures ranging from 80° - 82°. 4/5 frogs have settled in and had a meal a day after moving, one is still being stubborn, but I guess he needs a little more time. Also, the critter box on the side houses my youngest one, the second she outgrows her waterdish, she will be moved to the last open spot. Only the sides are blocked off with amazon background, the back is left open so my TL-lamp and provide some light shining on my backwall.

Looks great! Great space saving solution for keeping multiple frogs.
I see the sensor probes in the drawers. Do you have the read-outs labeled so you know which frogs info you're looking at?

They seem pretty nice and well thought out . i personally am against drawer systems (but not yours i actually like them) yours allow light in and let your frogs see through as well as get some exercise( nicely done shows you care) . the ones i have seen on you tube make me mad as they are literally drawers with no light at all just more like a frog substrate and a small dish and once you shut it total darkness.I have always been a fan of tanks for my pets and with more than 1 frog i simply insert Plexiglas dividers .My 50 gallon houses 2 cranwellies .Oddly enough they seem more active than i have been told they would be and they have a habit of sleeping right next to each other by the Plexiglas divider with no apparent aggression to each other , which makes me hope one is male .Enclosed is a picture just before i installed my divider.Good job Hypnotic .
2 of the thermometers are dual thermometers, the probes we're allready labeld. Left is in and right is out. For the top ones I'm using old ones I had left, when I need some new supplies I'l order another dual one. Thanks everyone! Your tank also looks great Randy!
I used terrariums in the beginning, but I'm a very neat person, and I got sick of constantly relocating the tanks and unhooking the heatmats to fully clean it out. When I clean monthly, I scrub out the entire enclosure and terrariums just made that a long job, also took up so much space. I have 6 enclosures stacked on 75 cm instead of 2,40 meters now.
And yes, I was very worried about the lighting, the lowest ones get the least light, but I still think it's decent, theres also a TL burning on the other side of the room to light my gecko and prairiedog, also since it's my bedroom, the lights also wake me up at exactly 8AM.
