It might be stress being in a new environment. Cover 3 sides of the tank with something so he feels more secure. Have you seen him soaking or any fecal matter? I would continue to offer food each night just incase he decides it time to eat, but I would use the bowl method so they don't bite him while he's sleeping.

Thank you for the advice! 3 sides of the tank are covered. I have just seen fecal matter in the water bowl which I guess means that he is soaking in the bowl at night. I will try the bowl method to see how many he's eating, but the fecal matter I found today was the first I've seen.
