Hi, about 4 days ago I got a new white's tree frog (a male) so that I can breed him. He's in a separate tank to my girls and is on his own. I am trying to feed him appropriate sized crickets and waxworms, but he isn't eating. 2 days ago, I did a count of how many crickets were in his tank and yesterday morning, the number remained the same. I was wondering why this was? He isn't skinny at all! in fact he is very chubby but he doesn't seem to eat in my tank. I asked one of my friends who also owns tree frogs and they said that he just needs some time to settle in? is this correct?
I am concerned because my girls have a HUGE appetite and will eat literally anything that comes into their tank that will fit into their mouths, but I haven't seem him eat yet. He climbs a lot and I do see him stuck to the glass every morning. I just wondered if this was normal that they don't really eat for the first few days of owning? thanks
