Thank you so much for your feedback. We are learning SO much about these little guys. Set 10 free this morning in the backyard. They were more than happy to jump out and into the wild. Feels Good! Thanks again.

Well done, next spring they will return to your yard to breed.
We have just recently acquired a few frogs that we believe are Sierran Treefrog. How often should their tank be cleaned? We currently have a small dish w/ clean water in it, and moss for the bottom. Is this ok, or should we rethink their home? After eating, they all climb to the top of the tank and sit at the very top... usually until they are hungry... is this normal?
Here are the pics...
Those are very healthy and gorgeous Pacific Chorus Frogs Pseudacris regilla.
Sierran Treefrog Pseudacris sierra is just an alternate name.
If you make a living vivarium you shouldn't have to clean the enclosure at all. These frogs are semi arboreal and are not aquatic except to breed. They need land and branches to climb on. Climbing to the top is normal. If you make a water feature they will swim but the enclosure should not be all water. I have some pics of these guys in my albums. Jace has some good setups as well for Pacific Chorus Frogs.
Paul, Thanks so much for the information. We have never had frogs, and I find myself very infatuated by them. Is there somewhere you can direct me in how to create a vivarium? Also, what would be the max number of frogs we should have in a certain space? My kids brought more home, and we now have 14. YIKES!! :-) I was thinking we should probably take most of them back... what are your thoughts?
I have noticed on some of my PCF that just before they strike at an insect...one of the toes will start to wiggle/twitch?..is it just me? or has anyone else seen this.....anyone else?
I never noticed it in my male, but saw my female doing it. Not that she needs to intice them to her-she usually gets to them as they are being dropped in the tank. She even snatched one off of Yoki's head!!
I found a glob of eggs in the water on a stick in my frog tank....isnt it a bit early for them to be laying eggs??
Ok thanks for the info....I think im going to release the llittle frogs as soon as they leave the water... 2 years ago the ponds behind my house were drained and all the frogs dissapeared. Im going to reintroduce them back....luckily i saved some tadpoles from that stock :-)
i was MISTAKENLY sold one of these as a "american green tree frog" i live in the UK and i now want to get a few more of these guys, does anyone kno a international breeder or somewere in the uk i could get these as the shop i got my "american green tree frog" from no longer has them
many thanks![]()

I released 2 fat females full of eggs into my yard last night. I could hear a male croaking in my yard this weekend so hopefully they find him and they lay eggs in my little pond in my yard.
I found a big blob of eggs stuck to a log in the water this morning.....looks like i will have tadpoles this year :-)
