I have been trying to populate a ten gal tank with fruit flies and finally my fruit flies culture is taking off.
I have plenty of tank space available because my killifish are not breeding, even if the killies do start breeding I think I have enough tank space for both. I am considering raising a batch of tadpoles.
I found a breeder in FL selling grey and green tree frog tadpoles( also there's someone on here "selling" some cuban tree frog tadpoles for shipping price). If anyone has any tips for a tadpole tank setup?.
Hi Sweetapples, Tadpole setup isn't really complicated, you can house up to 50 or more in a 10 gallon, i never kept filtration on my tads but an airstone can be used, no substrate is easiest. water level can be lowered and logs and branches can be added once the tads grow their front and back legs, Sonce you have a tree frog species of tad, you can add more branches and foliage. Hope this helps!

Hello and happy 2014! Not sure I understand if you have two tanks available or planing to raise both FFs and tads inside the same one using smaller containers. From what I read at forum, most FL tads end up being Cubans, and if ordering you should be ready to house a future large tree frog. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I have multiple empty aquariums available, I am short on terrarium equipment. Such as how I'll probably need a higher terrarium later on for keeping tree frogs.
