Hi and Happy New Year!
I'm new to the forum and just had a question about my waxy monkey. I have had him for less than a week but so far he has not eaten. He is moving around the tank at night, getting in the water dish and he has climbed into the plants as well. The past two mornings he was sitting on the side of his food bowl staring at the worms but he has not eaten them yet. I called the store where I bought him and they said it is normal for waxy monkeys to not eat for the first several days as they are adjusting to the new environment. I was just wondering if anyone else had this experience or if there is something I should try.
I would appreciate any input and thanks in advance
Darrell
they will only eat when lights are out. toss some crickets in his tank at night when its dark. mine will only hunt at night. also how are your temps and humidity? they need high basking temps and good ventilation low humidity
Thanks Beez. I have been trying to feed him Phoenix worms but he just stares into the dish. I picked up some crickets today. The people at the store thought those may work better because that's what they were feeding him. Fingers crossed.
