Pyxie's are pretty tough and hearty frogs; unless you purposely dropped them, I don't think mere handling will hurt them. All three of mine seemed to enjoy it outside-fresh air and sun. However, my first two, Kadesh and Obi, were never handled much, and they did NOT like being picked up and moved around so that I could take photos. Obi even hissed at me, and Kadesh, we found out, can hop very effectively! Gherkin, on the other hand, was as calm as could be. His previous owner frequently handled him, even took him to classrooms and taught about African Bullfrog care to students, and I guess even her young daughter packed him around. I frequently put treated water on my hands from his spray bottle and rub him on his back and he closes his eyes and relaxes...making me want to think he actually enjoys the contact. So, I'm trying to decide whether I shoud handle my first two more and continue giving Gherkin physical contact, or should I continue to not handle or touch any of the frogs unless necessary?
