Welcome to Frog Forum and I hope you get the answers you're looking for.
I voted in response to what people I know who have them have told me. Otherwise by seeing who voted "no" I would probably go with them.
Hi,
I'm obeying the prompt to post an introduction.
I recently acquired 2 Fire Belly Toads and 1 White's Tree Frog shortly thereafter. It took about 1 day for me to go completely frog crazy. If I had known how fascinating and adorable these animals were, I would have begun spoiling them long ago. Since both of these types are said to live as long as 20 years, I'm sure I'll never have another dog.
I came by this forum because of a search I did for information about sexing WTFs. I have seen so much conflicting information on the subject of their calling, I'd be interested to know what others' experiences are. It's said that: 1. Only the males call. 2. Females call. 3. Females call, but only in response to males.
I'd really like to know for sure - and why everyone seems to have a different story!
Your thoughts?![]()

Welcome to the forum. I have yet to hear a female White's Treefrog call.
Thanks. There's a straight "yes" up there now too! I am wondering if it just depends on the frog...
I think that in most cases only males call. But that's just through researching the types I have and a little bit of white's researching![]()
I've only heard the males call, but that's just me.![]()
