I have 3 red eyed green tree frogs in an exo terra medium sized tank. At first I actually bought 2 fluorescent bulbs from walgreens. Both were 40 watts. I used those as my lighting for about 5 days (I think). I then realized that I should have been using special lights from the store. I replaced them yesterday with the exo terra 2.0 lights.
I see that it is far less wattage! Do you think I might have hurt my frogs? If so, is there anything I can do to help them "heal"?
They seem to be ok. I haven't actually watched them eat within the last 2 days. But I did see them eat fine before that.
They actually seemed to like the light because during the day they would go right under it to sleep.
The bulbs you were using were more than likely just fine. I never use the proprietary bulbs. I just purchase the daylight spectrum flourescent bulbs sold in hardware shops.

Thanks John! The put my mind at ease. I'm a first time frog owner (I just setup not too long ago)...and the stupid pet store employees misinformed the **** out of me about how to care for the frogs. So now I'm buying new equipment everyday to ensure their survival :-p.
