    Dechlorinated tap water is best.

So tap water with the purifying drops or whatever from the local pet store? Like for a fish tank?

Tap water treated with a dechlorinating agent like Prime or RetiSafe for water dishes and expandijg the substrate. Distilled can be used for misting the tank to raise humidity.
