Well, here we go again with some pet store passing bogus information, it happens all the time. OK, first thing is to read the forum's care article in here: Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding. Below discussed items are very important to keep frog healthy.

- Water for both mixing with substrate (Plantation Soil, or EcoEarth) should be dechlorinated tap (Seachem Prime works great). You can use distilled water for misting; but do avoid spraying frog.

- Babies and juvies smaller than 3 in. should be kept in a small enclosure (not a 10G or similar). Otherwise they will stress out and stop feeding.

- Day temp should be 82F for babies and 82-84F for juvies and adults. That can drop a few degrees at night. Keep humidity between 70-80%.

- Best food is earthworms, can get night crawlers at Walmart and local bait shops (not dyed ones). Will need to cut (from pointy end) small mouth size pieces for babies. Once they grow to 2 in. can feed pieces as long as frogs. 3 in. and above can tackle a whole worm. Crickets should be gut loaded with carrots, lettuce, and cherios for 24-48 hours before feeding. Can also feed Dubias and other feeder roaches. You do not need to feed mice and if doing so, must be small to avoid a big one rotting undigested inside your frog and not more than one monthly.

Pacmans are nocturnal and do not need anything more than ambient light for their day/night cycle. Daylight type bulbs will hurt albino's. Red bulbs and ceramic heat emitters are OK for all Pacmans as a source of heat.

- Change water bath daily even if clean. Spot clean any feces daily and change substrate once a month. Good luck !
