Hi guys!
I have a question here about whites tree frogs calling.
So my male and female aren't in together at the moment as he's rather hefty compared to her but they are located side by side. He regularly calls several times a day, and recently I've been noticing that while he's mid call the female makes an odd sound, the only way I can describe it is a low chirping sort of 'dolphin' noise...
Has anyone else heard this or know what it means?
thanks

Try to get a video of this. My two males call ALL the time, the female pays no attention to them at all. But then all three of them are just at one year of age.

I believe wtf females call back to the males to tell them they are receptive

I doubt a recording will pick it up as it would be extremely muffled by my males bellowing, but I shall try.
Ahh okay that's interesting. As she's so small (barely touching 3inches) I was unsure whether it could be that. Ever since she has started responding my male Daru has been going mad attempting to get to her so much so I had to rearrange the terrarium and cover more of it to avoid him nose rubbing and potentially damaging himself. He's so beautiful and I would hate for him to get a sore nose.
