    A night bulb would be best. You can get exo terra blue or red ones which are both good. A small tank will probably need a small, low wattage bulb whereas a large tank will probably need a large, high wattage bulb. Also you live in California and I'm guessing its warm there so you probably won't need a high wattage bulb. It's cold here most of the year so I have to buy high wattage bulbs so I think you will have to experiment with different wattages.

    Do you think a 25 or 40 would be ok?also my main concern is if the frog will dry out?
