Please answer!

Hi everyone,
Ok so I have 2 new whites coming tomorrow and i have great stuff heat lamp with a 60 watt black bulb and i just turned it on to heat up the tank. It is giving off this weird smell. I read that this was normal for a new lamp but i just wanted to make sure. Can everyone please answer? I want to hear all of your opinions. Thanks!

well i just read something like this about heating lamp they said if there was a smell coming from it to turn it off discontinue use and speak to the company you had purchased it from, i dont know about heating lamps though if its normal for their to be a smell though.
