They are all cuttings so no soil or direct fert has been added to them. will anything be bad in them. i don't think they will get eaten. I am feeding him in a separate container. I am just wondering if i wash them will they be viv safe. They are stem cuttings no soil is on them. are they going to be OK? I am rambling. do i have to wait to put them in. If so for how long? Or will they be OK ~michael

Yes,yes, and yes. The pothos and philodendron are relatives, both in the aroid family and will grow new roots as they grow. The wandering Jew will also be fine. They will probably get trampled to death before they die of lack of nutrients or light lol

Yup. You can do a very mild bleach dip if you like, bit rinsing them off should be adequate.

Cuttings without roots will usually require a couple of days with dimmed lights. Bright lights or tank heating could end up drying and wilting them. If you have a frog-proof water container could tand the cuttings in water first so could let them take root then transfer in the soil when they do.

The wandering jew has roots. The vines have some but not a lot. They are just in a glass cup of water and doing good! Any one want pictures? ~michael

    Sure please.

Tradescantias (wandering jews) root quickly. Push them on the soil and a couple of days later they take root. Aerial roots from the aroid vines usually take a good couple of weeks to get a good anchor in.

The aerial roots take in extra moisture but are usually there to just anchor the plant on where it grows i.e. walls, tree trunks. You'll notice soon enough that new white roots will soon pop out from those aerial roots

Lovely plants. What are those pink-flowered ones, begonias or african violet?

Haha! Nice.. i love african violets but it seems that my current climate is not allowing me to grow it for a long time. Begonias are great also, their leaves have a sour taste haha! (Sorry, i needed to check if they'll be toxic lol)
