So i have 4 of them, one i think might be a female, im not a 100% sure yet, i was wondering if i could get an expert to help me out. im trying to see if i can breed them in the future
i have some photos for refrence:
it seems to have some brown coloring at the legs, its larger/more rotund than the rest, and never croaks like the rest, the other males tend not to horse around with him/her, although ive only seen it croak once, when one of the smaller males stole a cricket that it had targeted, other than that it rarely makes a sound
Compared to one of my males:
so am i right in saying its a female? i'm still new in the herpetology game..
I can tell by the VERY thick forarms that it's a male. some males are quieter than others. the best ways of telling if it's female are 1:look between the legs, females have a more pronounced triangular butt area that rises from the spine (i'll photograph moaper later to demonstrate this) and 2: go a few days without feeding them. males quickly become thinspos from not being fed while females will still have an inflated shape despite prolonged fasting
