Tesoros de Colombia

Hello all,

My appologies for making my fist post a bit of an advertisement.
I have been spreading the word to every person that shares my passion for dartfrogs and just found this forum.



I met Ivan Lozano down in Costa Rica this summer at the SACAS conference. He is the owner of Tesoros de Colombia. It is an operation started many years ago to protect Colombian wildlife and legally export Colombian frogs in an effort to curb the smuggling that takes place there. At the meeting Ivan was quite down and out. He had succeeded in obtaining permits to export his frogs, but found very little interest in the frogs that he was given permits to ship. He is currently working on some really great things, think "grail" type frogs, but is running out of steam and money. Lincoln Erikson and I have created an indiegogo campaign to rally support (and funds) for Ivan and his operation, so that he may be able to continue the work he is doing.

Think about this: There are places in Colombia people dare not go due to drug activity. These places could very well contain fantastic frogs that we have never seen. This project opens the door for us to possibly have access these frogs legally and responsibly. The future for our hobby could be greatly enhanced by Ivan's efforts, please do not let them end here.
